D.El.Ed. Admission Process

Rules and Regulations for D.El.Ed Entrance Examination


All admission procedures will be completed in accordance with the standards prescribed by the Bihar School Examination Board, and the details of the admission process are as follows:-

1. For eligibility for admission, the candidate must have attained a minimum age of 17 years as on January 01

2. For admission eligibility, candidates belonging to the General Category must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with at least 50% marks, while candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories, as per the Bihar Government, must have passed with at least 45% marks.

3. The admission process will be conducted through an entrance examination.

4. The entrance examination will consist of multiple-choice questions, and each question will carry 1 mark.

5. The entrance examination will consist of a total of 100 questions, and the duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

6. After the evaluation of the answer sheets, the marks obtained from the examiner will be entered into the marks register. Thereafter, a merit list of 100 students (boys and girls) will be prepared in order of merit for admission.

7. While preparing the merit list, the selection of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, and BC Women categories will be done in accordance with the guidelines of the State Government and the Bihar School Examination Board. Admissions of candidates from all categories will be made as per the prescribed number of seats. If seats remain vacant in any category due to the absence of candidates, such vacant seats will be filled from another category, giving priority from the lower category to the higher category.

8. The merit list for the D.El.Ed session will be displayed on the college notice board.

9. It will be mandatory for the selected students to complete their admission within the prescribed date. If admission is not taken within the prescribed date, the vacant seat will be filled from the waitlist in order of merit.
