Shri Bhagwat Prasad Singh Memorial B.Ed College is a co-educational institution recognized by the Government of Bihar, affiliated with Magadh University, and granted recognition under Section 7(11) of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Recognition Norms and Procedure Regulations.
The college began offering its B.Ed program in the academic session 2008-2009 with an approved annual intake of 100 students, as per ERC Order No. ERC/7-88.6(1).18/2008/12809, dated 30.08.2008.
In accordance with the powers vested under Section 15(3)(a) of the NCTE Act, 1993, the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC), NCTE approved an additional intake of 100 seats for the B.Ed course, increasing the total capacity to 200 seats. This change was implemented starting from the academic session 2016-2017, as per clause 7(16) of the NCTE Recognition Norms and Procedure Regulations, 2014.
Further, the NCTE granted recognition for the D.El.Ed. course with an annual intake of 100 seats, starting from the academic session 2016-2017.
